The Deye Spring AI Series All-in-One Three Phase Residential ESS combines a three phase hybrid inverter and a lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO₄) battery in a single compact unit.
Every system is built on a Deye AI-W5.1-PDU3-B power distribution unit and base. The inverter and battery modules stack on top of it, as shown in Deye's installation manual (section 3.1) and the August 2026 brochure. The PDU3 and base are included in every option on this page, so there is nothing extra to buy.
Designed for homes and small businesses on a three phase supply, it helps manage solar energy, store excess power and provide backup on all three phases during outages. Choose a 5kW to 12kW three phase inverter, with battery capacity from 5.12 kWh up to 25.6 kWh (five modules) on the inverter tower, and more storage available by adding a second battery tower.
With an IP65-rated enclosure, this three phase system suits indoor or outdoor installation. Monitoring and control are available through the app, PC or built-in display, making it easy to view energy use and battery status. Fast backup switching and smart energy management make it a practical option for three phase properties. If your property is on a standard single phase supply, choose the single phase version of this system instead.

Smart meter or no meter: which do I need?
To hold your exports under your network's limit and run the property from solar and battery first, the inverter has to see how much power is coming in from the grid and going back out. It takes that reading where the grid enters your switchboard. There are two ways to do it, and they do the same job.
Without the meter: three current clamps (CTs), one for each phase, come in the box with the inverter. Your electrician fits them around the incoming grid cables in your switchboard and runs the leads back to the inverter. This suits most installs where the switchboard is close to the inverter.
With the smart meter: this adds an Eastron energy meter that mounts in your switchboard and takes the reading instead, sending it to the inverter over a data cable. It is the usual choice when your switchboard is a long way from the inverter, so a clamp lead would have to run a long distance. Deye's own guidance on its larger three phase models is to use a meter once that run passes about 10 metres.
On a fully off-grid system there is no grid connection to measure, so choose the option without the meter.
Not sure which suits your site? Ask your installer where the inverter and switchboard will sit before you order.
Main Features
All-in-one design – Combines the inverter and battery in a single unit for a tidy installation and simpler setup.

Need more than 25.6 kWh?
Deye's August 2026 brochure shows up to five battery modules (25.6 kWh) on the inverter tower. For more storage, add a second battery tower built on a Deye AI-W5.1-PDU1-B power distribution unit and base, which takes up to six more modules. Deye recommends up to 50 kWh in total. Larger multi-tower systems are configured to suit your site, so get in touch for a tailored quote.
About the 6 module option: older Deye documents show six modules on the inverter tower, while Deye's latest brochure shows five. We are confirming this with Deye. If the sixth module needs its own tower, that tower needs a PDU1 base, which is not included in this option, and we will contact you before dispatch.
