As per the Electrical Safety Act, installations operating at ELV (Extra Low Voltage) levels of 120 VDC (Ripple Free) and below may be installed by individuals with the necessary knowledge and skills.

Products falling under this category are not suitable for DIY (Do-It-Yourself) installation and must be handled by professionals. This includes, but is not limited to, DC solar arrays operating above 120 VDC and hardwired outputs of inverters and similar products converting ELV levels to AC voltage levels over 50V (such as 230V AC).
Attempting to install such products without the proper qualifications can not only compromise performance and pose a significant safety risk, but also may invalidate any manufacturer’s warranties.
