The Fronius Symo 8.2-3-M delivers robust performance for larger solar installations, offering 8.2kW of AC output and up to 16.4kW peak DC input. With two independent MPPTs, it optimises energy harvest across dual-array systems, even in complex layouts.

Note: This model has been superseded and is now in clearance, with limited stock available.

Backed by a European efficiency of 97.7%, this unit comes with advanced grid-ready features, WiFi and Ethernet connectivity, and comprehensive protection systems, making it future-proof and easy to integrate into various energy systems.

Main Features And Technology

SnapINverter Technology. Fronius SnapINverter systems feature a modular design that simplifies both installation and maintenance. The wiring section and power stage are mounted separately—first, the light connection area, then the power unit is hinged into place. This setup allows servicing without removing the whole inverter, as all cabling stays fixed on the wall.

Integrated Data Communication. Fronius inverters come with built-in monitoring features, including WLAN, Ethernet, web server, energy management, and datalogging—no extra hardware needed. Open interfaces such as Modbus TCP/RTU, SunSpec, and Fronius Solar API enable seamless integration with third-party systems and allow parallel access to Fronius Solar.web.

SuperFlex Design. Designed for adaptability, SuperFlex combines dual MPPTs, a wide DC input range, and high voltage tolerance. Each tracker supports full inverter output, enabling efficient performance across complex rooftops, shaded arrays, or irregular system layouts—all within one inverter model.

Dynamic Peak Manager. This advanced MPPT feature scans the entire voltage curve to find the global maximum power point. It automatically adjusts in real-time, helping maximise yield even under partial shading or varied light conditions.

Smart Grid Ready. Fronius inverters include grid-friendly functions to meet modern utility standards. They manage reactive and active power for stable operation in high-density PV networks and support feed-in limits with dynamic control based on household consumption.

Zero Feed-In. To comply with local grid rules, Fronius inverters offer a configurable zero feed-in mode. This ensures only self-consumed energy is used, with no excess sent back to the grid, simply by adjusting settings via the inverter’s interface.

Active Cooling. Fronius inverters use intelligent fan-based cooling to regulate internal temperatures, extending the system's lifespan and improving energy efficiency. This system prevents hot spots and comes standard across all models.

Quick Specs:

Important Disclaimer: Installation of Hardwired Electrical Products in Australia

Please read the following information, including the disclaimer at the bottom of this page;
by purchasing from Buzz Energy Systems, you understand and acknowledge these terms.

When it comes to the installation of hardwired electrical products in Australia, it is important to be aware of the regulations and guidelines in place to ensure safety and compliance.
As per the Electrical Safety Act, installations operating at ELV (Extra Low Voltage) levels of 120 VDC and below can be installed by individuals with the necessary knowledge and skills.

However, it is crucial to note that installations operating above ELV levels require the expertise of licensed electricians and experienced installers. Products falling under this category are not suitable for DIY (Do-It-Yourself) installation and must be handled by professionals. Attempting to install such products without the proper qualifications can not only compromise performance but also invalidate any manufacturer's warranties.

At Buzz Energy Systems, we recognise the importance of reliable and efficient installations that prioritise safety, performance and warranty compliance. Our team consists of qualified tradespeople and specialists who are equipped with the expertise required to handle complex electrical installations.

For installations that operate above ELV levels, we strongly advise against DIY installation. Instead, we recommend seeking professional assistance from licensed electricians and experienced installers to ensure the proper installation and optimal performance of such products.

When it comes to installing hardwired electrical products above ELV levels, rest assured that Buzz Energy Systems can provide the necessary qualified tradespeople and specialists. Our professional installation services guarantee compliance with regulations, the preservation of manufacturers warranties and most importantly, your safety.

Do not compromise on the installation of your hardwired electrical products. Trust Buzz Energy Systems for a professional and hassle-free experience.
