The 16kW DEYE SUN-16K-SG01LP1-AU is the largest capacity single phase 48V Hybrid Inverter currently available on the market and is now CEC approved!
Suitable for On and Off Grid residential and light commercial use, maximising the self-consumption rate of solar energy and increasing your energy independence.
The Deye Hybrid Inverter design provides multiple functions into a single unit, reducing the need for multiple separate components. This integration simplifies the installation process and minimises space requirements, offering a practical solution for harnessing solar energy efficiently.
During daylight hours, like regular Solar Inverters, Deye Hybrid Inverters facilitate the use of electricity generated by your PV system directly for powering household appliances. This direct usage helps in reducing reliance on grid power and can lead to significant energy savings.
Additionally excess solar energy that isn't immediately used is smartly managed by the Deye Hybrid Inverter and surplus power is utilised to charge your battery storage system. Once the battery is fully charged, the inverter then automatically exports the remaining excess energy to the grid.
Deye 16 kW SUN-16K-SG01LP1-AU Hybrid Inverters are now fully compliant with the stringent standards set by the Australian Clean Energy Council (CEC).
This compliance not only assures you of the product’s safety and efficiency but also makes it eligible for various government incentives. Their suitability to Australian conditions, coupled with the assurance of meeting national standards, makes DEYE Hybrid Inverters a smart, cost effective choice for your energy needs.
In many regions, there are regulations regarding how much solar energy a household can export to the grid.
The optional Smart Meter with Current Transformer (CT) clamp help the inverter adhere to these regulations by providing real-time data on power flow, which the inverter uses to regulate the amount of energy exported.
By monitoring this energy flow to and from the Grid, your Deye Hybrid Inverter can automatically limit grid export energy. It further enables the inverter to adjust charging and discharging of the battery system based on the household's energy consumption and production. Combined with user adjustable parameters, the Smart Meter and CT clamp turn the inverter into a dynamic Energy Storage System (ESS), maximising self-consumption of solar energy, whilst also taking advantage of variable feed-in tariffs.
Seamless Backup power.
Additionally, the inverter includes an Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS), which ensures a smooth transition to battery power during grid outages, maintaining an uninterrupted power supply. This inbuilt ATS will keep your appliances running without disruption, whilst the battery can also be charged by a connected generator to ensure uninterrupted supply in the event of grid blackout.

DEYE Sun hybrid inverters are designed with a versatile second AC input that allows for innovative energy management solutions.
The 'Micro Inv Input' feature which enables the Generator input port to be used as an additional input for AC coupled PV with micro-inverters; this feature is also compatible with "Grid-Tied" inverters.
The operation of this feature is linked to the battery's State of Charge (SOC). When the battery SOC is lower than a set value, the microinverter or grid-tied inverter will start to work. Conversely, when the battery SOC exceeds the set value, these inverters will shut down. The design allows for a flexible and efficient way to add a second PV array, especially in locations distant from the primary DEYE inverter setup. This enhances the overall energy management by AC coupling the second array to shorten the DC cabling.
