ABC stands for All Back Contact. Instead of having metal strips (busbars) running across the front of the cell, all the electrical contacts sit on the back. This means nothing blocks sunlight from reaching the cell, so more light gets captured and converted to power.

It's one of the highest-efficiency cell designs on the market. Buzz Energy's Aiko Neostar 2S+ and Aiko Neostar 3S54 both use N-type ABC cells, which is also why they have a sleek all-black look with no visible front busbars. Both are CEC approved.

Both are N-type ABC (All Back Contact) panels with an all-black look, but they differ in a couple of ways. The Neostar 2S+ is 465W with dual glass front and back, which adds durability, rated up to 23.3% efficiency.

The Neostar 3S54 is 485W with mono glass (glass on the front only, backed by a weather-resistant sheet), rated up to 24.3% efficiency. Both carry a 25-year product warranty and 30-year performance warranty, and both are CEC approved, meaning they're eligible for Small-scale Technology Certificates.

Yes. Tindo Solar is an Australian manufacturer based in Adelaide, and has been producing solar panels since 2010. Their Walara Series panels are described as Australia's first N-type solar PV modules, and each panel goes through seven quality checks during manufacturing.

Buzz Energy stocks the Tindo Walara 440W and Tindo Walara 430W, both dual glass, bifacial panels with a 25-year product and performance warranty. The 440W model is confirmed CEC approved; check the product page for the 430W model's current CEC status if you need it for rebate eligibility.

A bifacial panel has solar cells that can capture light from both the front (direct sunlight) and the back (light reflected off the surface underneath). The TW Solar 510W and the Tindo Walara range are both bifacial.

Whether it helps depends on what's underneath the panel. Light-coloured or reflective surfaces, such as light concrete or gravel, bounce more light onto the rear of the panel and increase the gain. A standard dark tile roof reflects much less, so the extra benefit is smaller in that case. Your installer can assess this for your specific roof.

Sunman's eArc flexible panels are designed for mobile and marine use, such as caravans, motorhomes, boats, yachts, trains and buses, and for curved surfaces where rigid glass panels won't fit. They are not intended for standard house roof installations.

They're also not rated to be walked on, so they aren't suited to walkable rooftop areas. The Sunman eArc 175W carries a 10-year warranty for building installations and 5 years for mobile use, which reflects this intended use. If you're after panels for your home roof, our Aiko, TW Solar or Tindo ranges are the better fit.
