The FranklinWH aPower 13.6kWh/5kW AC Coupled Battery is a robust, off-grid capable AC-coupled battery, engineered for seamless home backup and smart energy management.
With a base capacity of 13.6 kWh and scalability up to 204 kWh (15 units), it ensures homes have reliable power during outages while supporting everyday energy optimisation. Designed for whole-home integration, it works with the FranklinWH aGate controller and mobile app for full system control.
Engineered to withstand harsh conditions, the aPower features an IP67-rated enclosure and operates efficiently from -20°C to 50°C, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor installations and with ultra-quiet operation (<30 dB). It's compatible with micro and string inverters and also supports generator input, black start capability, smart circuits and EV charging integration.
Featuring an impressive 12-year warranty, it delivers long-term performance and flexibility.
The aGate Single Phase Gateway Controller is required for operation of the aPower unit; aGate Controller is not required for additional aPower units.
The FranklinWH aGate is an intelligent single-phase energy controller designed to optimise your home’s energy use in both grid-connected and backup scenarios. Working seamlessly with the Franklin aPower battery and the FranklinWH App, it manages energy flow efficiently—whether for daily savings or during power outages.
